"Do not look at wine when it is red, when it gives its color in the cup, when it glides down smoothly. At the end it bites like a serpent, and stings like a viper"- Mishle 23:31-32
When all we choose to behold and enjoy is the fleeting pleasures of the surface in the end the enticing red of the wine leads us to be misled and in the end bites and stings reflecting the painful regret of needless haste not affording ourselves the effort we are worth to consider our way before jumping into the fray heralding many times damage and destruction instead of lighting our way.
